Jason is a civil litigator with experience in many practice areas, with special expertise in insurance coverage, corporate / commercial, real estate and professional negligence.
Jason previously practiced in Toronto at respected insurance litigation boutiques and more recently in the litigation department of a full-service national firm in the Ottawa region. Because of that background, Jason has provided legal services to a diverse range of clients both large and small, from individuals to corporations to municipalities and charitable organizations.
Jason brings to his practice a keen understanding of the law, having taught Civil Procedure as a Law Professor at the University of Ottawa. Coupled with his real-world courtroom experience before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Federal Court, the Small Claims Court and tribunals such as the WSIAT and the LTB, Jason has both the legal knowledge and practical acumen to advocate effectively for his clients before any judicial body.
As practice lead of the Civil Litigation department at Gibson Tanner Rabin LLP, Jason brings a practical, dollars and cents approach to his litigation practice, working toward settlement when possible, but ready and able to go to court when needed.
